He’s known as the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan also known as King Khan has been ruling the hearts of millions for almost two decades. He’s one of the best actors Bollywood has to offer. Shahrukh is an entertainer, film producer, television host and IPL cricket team owner.
Born on November 2 1965, he started his career on the small screen in the late eighties with Fauji and Circus. He then made his debut in Deewana in 1992 for which he won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and there was no looking back for him after that. He’s won a total of twenty five awards in various categories and award functions in his entire career.
An Economics Honours student from Hansraj College the then Delhi boy moved to Mumbai in 1991 after his parents’ death. He also married Gauri Chibber the same year on 25 October 1991. They at present have two children a son Aryan and a daughter Suhana.
Shahrukh experimented with villanous roles early in his career in Darr and Baazigar which became blockbusters however it was his romantic hero roles that made him a star. The superhit movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995 pushed him into the star league. He had a string of hit movies to his career. Movies such as Karan Arjun, Pardes, Dil to Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil se, Baadshah, Mohabbatein, Josh, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Devdas, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Main Hoon Na, Veer-Zaara, Swades, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Don, Chak De India, Om Shanti Om and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Shahrukh Khan has entertained the audiences with his amazing performances, wit and charm both on and off screen. He has another power packed performance in ‘My Name is Khan’ which will be released in February 2010.
