The Chote Nawab of Bollywood
He’s known as ‘The Chote Nawab’ of Bollywood. Saif Ali Khan was born on 16 August 1970 and is one of the best actors in Indian Cinema. He is the son of ex-cricketer,Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore. He has two sisters Saba and Soha and two children Sara and Ibrahim from his ex-wife of thirteen years Amrita Singh. He’s currently dating Kareena Kapoor and is often refered to as ‘Saifeena.’ He began dating her after a much failed and publicized relationship with Italian model Rosa. Saif graduated from Winchester College in England and is a brand ambassador for well established brands such as Chevrolet, Royal Stag amongst others.
Saif started his career with Parampara in 1992 opposite Neelam, he got recognition in 1993 for Aashiq Awara. However, it was the movie Yeh Dillagi with Akshay Kumar and Kajol that gave him his first hit. He had a series of failed movies in his initial years but managed to have blockbusters movie in multi starrers. It was only after the success of Dil Chahtha Hai, Saif was considered amongst the Khans who ruled Bollywood, which included Amir, Shahrukh and Salman Khan.
He had a few hit movies throughout his career. The movies are Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Imtihaan, Kachche Dhaage, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kya Kehna, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Ek Haseena Thi, Parineeta, Omkara, Eklavya, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Race, Love Aaj Kal and Kurbaan.
The Nawab Jr. faced a life changing experience on February 18 2007 after a mild heart attack and was admitted in a Mumbai hospital, which made him quit smoking after the incident. His other interests show his passion towards playing the electric guitar. He has quite a few movies lined up for release in 2010.
