Saat khoon maaf is a forthcoming bollywood thriller, drama and a black comedy film. Vishal Bharadwaj is the director of the movie and Priyanka Chopra is starring the lead role in the movie. It is the second movie of Priyanka chopra with Vishal Bharadwaj after the very successful movie Kaminey.
Story of this movie is based on Ruskin Bond book named as ‘Susanna’s seven husbands’. According to which name of heroine is Susanna and there are seven husbands of Susanna. In the movie, roles of these seven husbands are played by Naseeruddin Shah, Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abraham, Anu Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Vivan Shah (son of Naseeruddin Shah) and the actor from Russia Aleksandr Dyachenko.
Story is about the Anglo-Indian woman who kills all her seven husbands and the way she handles the entire situation. Priyanka Chopra is playing a negative role in this movie after Yakeen and Aitraaz (2005). According to Priyanka, her role in the movie is very complex, challenging and unique and so, she was scared of taking this role. She will play all stages of woman’s life from age 18-65 years in her seven roles in the film. One of her seven looks will be of 65-year old woman and her makeover for this role has developed from pictures of her grandmother. Another role she is playing is of burqa clad Muslim woman married to Irfan khan. Some of her other roles in the movie are of a Sikh woman, a middle class woman in saree, a bar dancer of Maharashtra and young wife of Neil Nitin Mukesh.
During production, name of the film got changed two times. Initially, the movie was titled as ‘Seven’ then it got replaced by ‘Ek Batta Saat’ and then finally it got the name ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.
Audience has so many expectations with Saat Khoon Maaf which is releasing on 19 Feb 2011.
