Run Bhola Run is a romantic and thrilling comedy which went on the floors of production several years back in December 2007. The movie was delayed in the middle for various reasons including the sudden recession and controversial subject of the film.
This movie is about 2 convicts and how they plan and ultimately succeed in running away from jail so that they can capture Ameesha Patel.
The movie stars Govinda (as Bhola) and Tusshar Kapoor as the 2 convicts and Ameesha Patel, Celina Jaitely, Rahul Dev and Sharat Saxena in other important and path breaking roles. Another cause of the delay in this movie is because of the fact that a lot of actors had earlier agreed to play parts in this film and later backed out. Some examples being Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan, who were meant to play the roles of Tusshar Kapoor and Celina Jaitley respectively and also Tanushree Dutta who could not continue with the film due to date conflicts.
The title of the movie was earlier chosen as ‘Do Lucky’ and ‘Lucky 2’ but the director ultimately settled for ‘Run Bhola Run’. This movie has earned negative publicity because Celina Jaitley had blamed Tusshar Kapoor of hurting her arms tightly while filming a song sequence. He later apologized and the shooting schedule was resumed after 3 days. Govinda too played the role of a prankster of the sets keeping all in splits with his tom foolery.
Run Bhola Run was earlier supposed to release in June-July of 2008 but incessant delays have pushed the final date to December 31, 2010. The music director of the film is Pritam Chakraborty and Monty Sharma of ‘Sawaraiya’ fame. It was been directed by Neeraj Vora and the producer is Dhillin Mehta. The cinematography has been handled by Mahesh Aney. The film is being released under the banner of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.
