Review:
My Friend Pinto stars Prateik Babbar and Kalki Koechlin in the lead and Arjun Mathur, Shruti Seth, Makrand Deshpande, Raj Zutshi and Divya Dutta playing the supporting roles.
The story is about Michael Pinto (Prateik Babbar) a twenty something who was born and brought up in a small Goan village. He believes the world is just as simple, kind and honest boy as he is. His world is his mother of whom he is very fond of, his love for music which lands him in some unlikely hilarious situations and memories of a childhood friend called Sameer who left Goa many years ago, despite of Pinto’s continuous letters to him there has been no information about him since then.
The world around him changes with the sudden death of his beloved mother and he decides to go to Mumbai in search of his childhood friend Sameer the only friend he knows. The problems he will have to face in the city and his ability of creating a problem by himself directs the movie to its climax and with all this will he able to find his lost friend?? Is the biggest question.
The music of the film is done by Ajay and Atul. The track “Dhinchak Zindagi” is quite a good song other than that the films music does not impress much.
The film has a very good storyline and Prateik Babbar is the one actor you must be looking for. The climax of the film is good going by the script but still can’t say how much impact it will have on the public. Can Prateik make some head turn with his performance will be known when it finally releases on 14th of October.
