Dil To Pagal Hai Over Madhuri

Madhuri Shankar Dixit is one of the most talented and best actresses in Bollywood. A popular actress in the nineties she was born on 15 May 1967 and aspired to be a microbiologist. She is the daughter of Shankar and Snehlata Dixit.

Known for her amazing expressions and dancing she trained for eight years as a Kathak dancer. She attended Divine Child High School and Mumbai University. She married NRI cardiovascular surgeon from Denver Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene in 1999 who she has two sons with, Arin and Raayan. Madhuri also has three elder siblings, Rupa, Bharati and Ajit.

Madhuri made her entry into movies with the 1984 film Abodh which did not give her much recognition but she became an overnight success with Tezaab in 1988 alongside Anil Kapoor. With her smooth dance movies, big eyes and naughty personality Madhuri won the hearts of millions worldwide.

Some of her hit films were: Ram Lakhan, Parinda, Tridev, Kishen Kanhaiya, Dil, Saajan, Beta, Khalnayak, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Raja, Beta, Dil To Pagal Hai, Mrityudand, Pukar, Devdas, Khel and 100 Days. Madhuri has been voted as the Best Bollywood Actress ever in 2007 by Rediff.

Looked upon as one of the finest actresses in Indian cinema Madhuri’s pairing opposite Amir Khan, Shahrukh khan and Anil Kapoor is remembered even today. She excelled in any role given to her and was a Director’s dream. She was also one of the few actresses who managed to stand her own in any movie even if it had a multi star cast. Although Madhuri Dixit Nene’s career seems to have taken a backseat she seems unfazed by it and is enjoying domestic bliss as well as her time away from the big screen leaving millions of her fans waiting for her to return to Bollywood.
