Katrina Kaif was formerly known as Katrina Turquotte before she entered the Indian film Industry. Katrina is amongst the highest grossing and best actresses in Bollywood. She has also been voted amongst the sexiest women alive two years in a row, 2008 and 2009. Known for her beautiful complexion, hourglass figure and dazzling smile Katrina has wowed the audiences with her simple yet glamorous roles in movies.

Born in Hong Kong on 16 July 1984 to a Muslim Kashmiri father Mohammed Kaif and British mother Suzzane Turquotte, she has seven siblings. Katrina’s parents separated when she was quite young. She was raised in Hawaii and then moved to England where she stayed before she became a star in India. Katrina has been dating actor Salman Khan since 2003.

Ms. Kaif started her career in London, when she was fourteen, in modeling after an agent approached her. Director Kaizad Gustad noticed her after she walked the ramp in London Fashion Week. She then landed her debut role in the disastrous movie ‘Boom’ in 2003. Katrina at first couldn’t speak Hindi, which made a lot of film producers reluctant to approach her. Yet she has proved to people with her hard work and determination that she can do the impossible.

Katrina has delivered hit movies year after year. Audiences and film producers worldwide have loved her pairing opposite actor Akshay Kumar. They have worked together in five movies and all of them have been successful.

2004’s release Sarkar catapulted Katrina into stardom. Her list of successful movies include Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Namastey London, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Apne, Partner, Welcome, Race, Singh is Kinng, New York, Blue and Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani. She will next be seen in the much-awaited movie Rajneeti and there’s even news that the Indian version of Barbie Doll is being modeled on her.
