Kareena Kapoor also known as Bebo is one of the best actresses in Bollywood. Followed her elder sister Karisma’s footsteps and defied the Kapoor family tradition by entering Bollywood, as those females born within the Kapoor family stayed away from the big screen. Born on 21 September 1980 in Mumbai she has had acting in her family for generations. Coming from the family lineage of great stars, she is the daughter of the famous actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is the great granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor and the granddaughter of Raj Kapoor.

Her family consists of celebrities Rishi, Rajiv, Ranbir, Riddhima, Karishma Kapoor and Nilkhil Nanda who’s married to Shweta Bachchan. Insipired by Nargis and Meena Kumari when growing up, she and her sister always dreamed of acting. Randhir opposed this which caused a rift between Babita and him. This led to a separation leaving Babita with the responsibility of raising their daughters alone.

Kareena was romantically linked with actors Hrithik Roshan, former boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and current beau Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena began her movie career with the movie Refugee in 2000 alongside Abhishek Bachchan. She got commercial success at the box office after the movie Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Ghum. It was her role in 2004’s Chameli that proved as a turning point in her career. She was thereafter looked upon as an actor with talent. Some of her hit films were: Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Ajnabee, Asoka, Dev, Aitraaz, Hulchul, 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke, Omkara, Jab We Met, Golmaal Returns, Kabakkht Ishq and 3 Idiots. Kareena will next be seen in Milenge Milenge in 2010. Kareena’s career underwent a lot of ups and downs but she seems unfazed by it and is seen enjoying her life taking it one day at a time.
