Bollywood’s Original Hunk

He’s known as ‘The Hunk’ of Bollywood. Farhan Abraham AKA John Abraham was born in Mumbai on 17 December 1972 and is one of the best looking actors in Indian Cinema. This half Malayali half Iranian Parsi is a vegetarian and supports PETA and Habitat for Humanity.

John actively participates in charities and has contributed as much as 10 Lakhs towards hospital funds for Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He has been in a relationship with the sizzling siren Bipasha Basu since 2002. John and Bipasha did face a rocky patch in between when Bipasha was linked with Saif Ali Khan but the couple stood strong and managed to overcome it. John has a younger brother named Alan. He finished his MMS from Mumbai Educational Trust.

Abraham started his career as a model with Time and Space Media Entertainment Promotions Ltd. In 1999 he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest. He then started working in advertisements and music videos until debuting on the big screen with the thriller Jism in 2003 opposite Bipasha Basu.

John faced quite a few box office duds in his initial acting career but got his big break with Dhoom in 2004. His other box office hits include Kaal, Garam Masala, Water, Taxi No. 9211, Salaam-e-Ishq, Dostana and New York.

Despite not making a huge mark in the Bollywood he’s looked upon as the hottest actor in Indian Cinema. He also became the first Indian to feature in the ’25 Sexiest Men’ list, coming in on seventh place on E! News. He’s also the brand ambassador for a few products. John started his own fashion line, which focuses mostly on jeans. Some are with Bipasha and some without. He has quite a few movies lined up for release in 2010, which look promising for his already soaring career.
