Bollywood’s Latest Poster Boy

He’s known as ‘The Chocolate Boy’ of Bollywood with his family’s good looks paired with a lean muscular body. He’s also one of the best actors to watch out for in Indian Cinema. Imran Khan Pal was born on 13 January 1983 in America to Anil Pal, a now Bengali American and Nuzhat Khan. Imran comes from a prestigious filmy background with director Mansoor and actor Amir Khan as his Uncles and reputed director and producer Nasir Khan as his grandfather.

Imran’s father works as the Director of Operations Engineering at Netflix, California. Nuzhat’s brother, Mansoor was friends with Anil in IIT Bombay. The couple divorced when Imran was only one and a half years old. After the divorce Nuzhat came back to India and raised Imran in Mumbai where he studied at Bombay Scottish School. He moved to California where he was residing with his father and finished his high school studies. Interested in direction initially, he trained in film making in Los Angeles but realized he wanted to be an actor instead. Imran got engaged in September 2009 to his long time girlfriend Avantika Malik.

Imran Khan started his career at the tender age of five by playing a younger Amir Khan in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. He then returned to the big screen in the 2008 super hit movie with the bubbly and vivacious Genelia D’Souza in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He has been touted as the next big thing in Bollywood after this movie. Though his other two releases, Kidnap and Luck didn’t make their mark at the box office. He has quite a few releases lined up for 2010. With a promising career ahead, this chilled out youngster shows a lot of potential in making his family lineage proud.
