Hrithik Roshan
Bollywood’s Own Greek God
Hrithik Roshan’s known as ‘The Greek God’ of Bollywood. He’s one of the best and the most talented actors in Indian cinema. Duggu, as his loved ones fondly call him, was born to a Hindu Punjabi family on 10 January 1974. He comes from a filmy background with yesteryear’s not so successful actor now turned director, Rakesh Roshan as his father and his mother, Pinky who is the daughter of J. Om Prakash. His uncle is the well-known music director Rajesh Roshan.
Hrithik is married to Susanne Khan now known as Susanne Roshan, who is the daughter of actor Sanjay Khan. The lovely couple has two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan.
Hrithik started of his career as a child artist at the tender age of six in the 1980 movie Asha. He then appeared in Aap Ke Deewane and Bhagwan Dada. Daggu was also the assistant director for his father’s movies Karan Arjun and Koyla before he returned to the big screen.
He made his debut as an adult in the blockbuster Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai opposite Amisha Patel. He saw success and failure in the early phase of his career, which he says, kept him grounded and didn’t let the success reach his head. His hit movies were, Mission Kashmir, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar. Hrithik’s next movie, ‘Kites’ with hot Spanish actress Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut is being eagerly anticipated worldwide.
Having being touted as the underdog in the industry and written off early in his career as a one hit wonder, Hrithik proved his critics wrong with toning down his over acting from his initial movies and his working on his muscular body to obtain eight pack abdominals leaving swooning fans everywhere in awe of him.
