He’s known as ‘The Bad Boy’ of Bollywood. Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan AKA Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965. He is one of the most stylish and best actors in Bollywood. Salman is an entertainer and T.V. host. He often manages to get into a controversy thus gaing more negative publicity than positive and shares a love hate relationship with the media.

Salman Khan started his career with Biwi Ho To Aisi in 1988 but it was the movie Maine Pyar Kiya with Bhagyashree where he played a chocolate boy hero that gave him his first hit.

Hailing from a filmy background, he’s the eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan from his first wife Salma Khan. His stepmother is Helen; his siblings are Arbaaz, Sohail, Alvira and Arpita. Arbaaz is married to the successful T.V. persona Malaika Arora and Alvira is married to actor turned director Atul Agnihotri. Salman has been dating Katrina Kaif since 2003. His list of ex-girlfriends also includes Aishwarya Rai, Somy Ali and Sangeeta Bijlani.

Salman has had a series of hits and box office duds throughout his career. Karan Johar is one India’s young and fresh talents. He is the son of Hiro Johar and late Yash Johar and has directed and produced many successful films. He made his Bollywood debut in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge as an actor and assistant director. Karan has great taste in clothes. He selected costumes for Shahrukh Khan, the lead actor in the movie. His second film as director, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was yet another movie which stole the spot light. It was a heartwarming movie about loving your parents, which won five Film Fare Awards. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, another ShahRukh Khan starer was a major hit abroad; it was the highest grossing overseas film of all time but it was not too well accepted in India. His latest film, My Name Is Khan is to be released shortly and his is also working on the Hindi remake of the Hollywood flick, Stepmom.

Apart from acting, directing, writing and, telling Shahrukh what to wear, he is also a TV celebrity. Karan hosts his own show, Koffee With Karna, which is a casual, and fun entertaining show with celebrity guests.  This postgraduate in French is currently the head of Dharma Productions, which was established by his father. Besides wining several awards in the entertainment industry, he was honored by being chosen as one of 250 Global Young Leaders by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum 2006.

He’s known as the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan also known as King Khan has been ruling the hearts of millions for almost two decades. He’s one of the best actors Bollywood has to offer. Shahrukh is an entertainer, film producer, television host and IPL cricket team owner.

Born on November 2 1965, he started his career on the small screen in the late eighties with Fauji and Circus. He then made his debut in Deewana in 1992 for which he won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and there was no looking back for him after that. He’s won a total of twenty five awards in various categories and award functions in his entire career.

An Economics Honours student from Hansraj College the then Delhi boy moved to Mumbai in 1991 after his parents’ death. He also married Gauri Chibber the same year on 25 October 1991. They at present have two children a son Aryan and a daughter Suhana.

Shahrukh experimented with villanous roles early in his career in Darr and Baazigar which became blockbusters however it was his romantic hero roles that made him a star. Konkana made her debut in the movie Indira as a child but made her re-entry into movies again in 2000 with a Bengali film Ek Je Aachhe Kanya. She has acted in a lot of offbeat movies but did not get commercial recognition until recently with Page 3 in 2005. She came into the limelight after Mr. and Mrs. Iyer won her the National Film Award for the Best Actress in 2002. Some of her movies were Titli, 15 Park Avenue, Omkara, Dosar, Traffic Signal, Life in a… Metro, Dil Kabadi, Aaja Nachle, Luck by Chance and Wake Up Sid. She will next be seen in the movies Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Iti Mrinalini, Sunglass, Right or Wrong, Mirch, Amavas, Meridian and 8 in 2010.

Konkona has kept away from controversies and maintained a low profile throughout her career. Her personal life came as interest to the media only after she began dating comedian and actor Ranvir Shorey who she got engaged to in 2008. She’s done a lot performance oriented roles in art movies in the initial phase of her career but has now moved on to do more commercial films. She is one of the few actresses in Bollywood who is recognized for her acting and excellent portrayal of the common simple woman.

The multi star cast consists of Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, Waheeda Rehman, Siddharth Narayan, Kunal Kapoor, Atul Kulkarni and Alice Patten. The movie is written by Kamlesh Pandey and it had hit songs like “rang de basanti”, “khalbali” and “lika chuppi”.

Rang De Basanti’s about Sue Mckinley (Alice), a struggling British filmmaker; fascinated by the freedom fighter movement that took place during Indian’s independence. She learns about the following freedom fighters through her grandfather’s diary who was an officer then; Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, Shfagqulla Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil. Sue is friends with Sonia (Soha) and she wants to make a film about these heroes. She comes across Daljit also known as DJ (Aamir), Karan Singhania (Siddharth), Aslam (Kunal) and Sukhi (Sharman) who are to play the Fighers and Laxman Pandey (Atul) who plays another character in the film.

These college students soon realize their lives are very similar to the freedom fighters and they start identifying with their characters. Sonia’s fiancé Ajay Singh Rathod (Madhavan) is a Flight Lieutenant in the Indian Air Force and dies when his plane fails. The Government refuses to take responsibility and blames the pilot for this crash. The group soon discovers the reason the plane failed was because corrupt defense minister (Mohan) sold cheap aircraft parts and Karan’s father (Anupam) played a part in this deal too.

The students protest and want justice for their friend and kill the defense minister. While they’re disclosing what happened via All India Radio to the Country, they are killed by the police.
