Though not a very star studded film, Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein marks the return of the legend, Rajesh Khanna. Filmed at Goa and Mumbai, the movie has been directed by Akash Pandey and produced by Dr. Wajahat Karim and Dr. Dr. Surhita Karim (the duo’s first film was Soch with Sanjay Kapoor and Raveena Tandon). The music has been directed by Dabboo Malik and Sujeet Chaubey.
Do Dilon ke Khel mein is a movie about two Childhood friends Joggi (Rajesh Khanna) and Goggi (Anu Kapoor) who in pursuit of their own goals leave Punjab only to reunite after 20 years. While Joggi returns from London, Goggi comes back from Mumbai, where he had fallen for a South Indian girl, Laxmi (Kishori Shahane) and gotten married. Rohit (Rohit Nayyar), the son of Joggi meets Isha (Nausheen Ali Sardar), daughter of Goggi during a journey and just cannot tolerate each other. Both Joggi and Goggi want their children to get settled in Punjab with a Punjabi partner even though Goggi’s wife only wants a South Indian groom for her daughter.
As expected, the two childhood buddies decide to get their children married to each other. When both Rohit and Isha come to know about this alliance they are hysteric and try to create as many situations as possible leading to a tussle between the two families, so much so that the best of friends become the worst of foes.
Over a period of time, they realize their mistake and the seriousness of the situation created by both of them. They eventually decide to mend and sort out things between the two families.
How the two get things within control and how do they change their feelings for each other in the interim will be for all of us to watch when the film hits the theater on March 12, 2010.
