Circuit’s Ride To Success
Arshad Warsi also known as ‘Circuit’ is one of the best actors in Indian cinema. Arshad, a Parsi was born on April 19 1968 in Mumbai. The National level gymnast in his school days lost his parents at the age of fourteen and struggled to make ends meet. Having had a passion for dancing he joined a dance group in Mumbai. He used the money he won after attaining fourth prize in the English Jazz Dancing Competition to start his own dance school. He debuted in Bollywood in ABCL’s Tere Mere Sapne in 1996.
Failing to make a mark for himself in the industry after so many years, he got his long overdue recognition in 2003 after the successful movie Munnabhai M.B.B.S. He won the hearts of millions worldwide as Circuit. His list of successful films includes Hulchul, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Salaam Namaste, Golmaal, Kabul Express, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Dhamal and Golmaal Returns. Arshad will next be seen with Naseerudinshah and Vidya Balan in Ishqiya and the third installment of Munnabhai, which is Munnabhai Chale Amrika in 2010.
Arshad hosted a few shows on T.V. such as Star Gold’s Sabse Favorite Kaun, Sony’s Bigg Boss and Zee TV’s Razzmatazz. Arshad has also tried his hand at playback singing in Tere Mere Sapne, Munnabhai and the sequel.
Arshad Warsi has enjoyed marital bliss with his beautiful wife, former MTV host Maria Goretti since 1999. She made a cameo appearance in Salaam Namaste with their son Zeke. They have two children, a son and daughter Zene Zoe. Arshad has mostly starred in multi starrers throughout his career but has managed to stand his own with the sort of roles he’s been given. Critics have acknowledged and praised the passion and hard work Arshad has put in each role in his movies.
