A Different Type of Deol
Abhay Deol is amongst the best and talented actors in Bollywood. Born on 15 March 1976, he is the youngest of the Deol family. His father is Ajit Deol a producer and director. His uncle is the famous actor Dharmendra. His cousins are actors Sunny and Bobby Deol. His cousin sisters are Ajita and Vijeyta. He has two half cousin sisters from actress Hema Malini, Esha and Ahana Deol.
Unlike the other typical Deol men, Abhay chose not to limit his talent to playing conventional roles. He has always picked unconventional realistic movies portraying the common man. Most of his movies have not gotten box office success but have given him amazing reviews for his performances. He has also started producing movies with his company Forbidden Films.
Abhay first appeared in Socha Na Tha in 2005. His first box office success was Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. He then got rave reviews again for Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Manorama Six Feet Under. Abhay then starred in the hit movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! His biggest hit though was Dev D in 2009. Abhay will next be seen in the movies Road, Movie, Basra, Aisha and Gulel Kyun.
Abhay with his athletic body, quiet manner and dimpled smile has girls swooning over him worldwide. He has admitted though that he has a painter girlfriend in New York who he’s been dating for a while. He however chooses not to reveal anymore details about her. Like any chilled out youngster he is seen partying and enjoying life with his friends. Despite this he still keeps a low profile and avoids any unnecessary publicity. Abhay faced comparisons to his talented uncle and cousins early on his career but the comparisons stopped after he carved a niche for himself with his own style.
